By: Manvi Panchal – Team Wassup Bhopal We all like to just stay home relaxed and sleep all day isn’t it? But there are some decorations to see worth leaving your house- Although just roaming around freely and looking at all the decorations of banks and bhavans, there is much more to the day than just those lights decorations. 1. LAL PARADE GROUND– A full-fledged program awaits your presence in which all sorts cultural activities are done and a lot of school and college participate. With beginning of an extra-ordinary parade to singing, dancing, poetry and speeches by young mind as well as by the wise generation, to really feel the essence of this day, Lal Parade ground is the best you can experience. 2. BHEL GROUND– For more of such programs and a true exhibit of talents and celebration of freedom, people working with BHEL, school associated with BHEL and all non-associated population assemble in the ground to witness the colours of this historic day. 3. SHAURYA SMARAK- Fighters who died in honouring our Motherland, remembering them and their sacrifices is the best possible way to celebrate your Independence Day. Also, it is a nice place to spend time with your family in this weather having a picnic celebrating the freedom. 4. DB CITY– Although it’s a mall and is not near any freedom struggle but it is symbolic to our freedom- doing whatever we want and whenever we want (in limited time though). Also, its decoration is to die for and on the occasion of Independence Day, there is also 50% off in every store, trust me. 5. BHAVANS IN BHOPAL– On the eve of Independence Day, do get out of your houses and venture around to see beautiful lightwork on every Bhavan that our Bhopal has and one of the main attractions is Vallabh Bhavan and it garden.

These are a few places to visit on Independence Day, do share with us how you spend your independence and get a chance to post your blog on our page.
