Dial 100 To The Rescue

India, our motherland, is one of the most rapidly growing nations all over the world. But with the development, we attain there is a dire need to secure whatever we achieve. People build the nation and there well being and security are among the foremost duty of any government.

In case of emergency, people are generally made to contact the local police stations. But contacting appropriate police station is always a challenge. A rapid response was only possible to a rapid request and thus there was a need to reduce this response time.

Feel Safe When Dial 100 Is Near You

In order to achieve this goal, Madhya Pradesh state government took many vital steps; prominent among them is the “DIAL 100” system. Under this scheme, a total of 50 “Rapid Response Vehicles” had been provided to the police stations that patrol the allocated area 24×7. Also, a control cum command center is being set up. The system works as follows:-

1. When a person dials on “100” number, it is received at the center by well-trained staff who takes necessary personal details, incident details, and location details.

2. The trained dispatcher immediately deploys nearest available vehicle/vehicles. The vehicles are equipped with GPS, vehicle locating terminals, mobile data terminal, CCTV, etc.

3. Once the staff reaches the destination, it will take necessary action-from taking down FIR as per the normal standard procedure to suppressing any situation that may have built up.

The service has brought forward a new method of patrolling and is analogous to the 9-1-1 service of the USA. So the next time you see the flashing red blue lights of the “DIAL 100” vehicle near you, feel safe as they are doing their part vigilantly to ensure that we all do our part well for the betterment and development of the country.
