1. Javed Akhtar
Bollywood’s most prominent lyricist and Urdu poet Javed Akhtar have his roots in Bhopal. He did his graduation from Saifiya college Bhopal.

2. Divyanka Tripathi
Indian TV actress Divyanka Tripathi best known for her role in Star Plus’s daily soap Ye Hai Mohabbatein was born in Bhopal. She did her college from Nutan college Bhopal.
3. Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi
Former captain of Indian cricket team Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi was himself the Nawab of Bhopal. He was born in Bhopal on 5th January 1941 and remained the titular Nawab of Bhopal from 1952 to 1971.
4. Jaya Bhaduri Bachchan
Eight times Filmfare award winner actress, Jaya Bachchan has a strong connection from Bhopal. She did his schooling from St. Joseph’s Convent Sr. Sec. School Bhopal and was even the head girl of the school.

5. Kaif Bhopali
Well known Urdu poet and lyricist famous for writing the song ‘Chalo Dildar Chalo‘ sung by Mohd. Rafi from movie Pakeezah, Kaif Bhopali belongs to Bhopal. He penned lyrics for many popular ghazals like ‘Kaun aaega yahan’, ‘Tera chehra Kitna suhana lagta’ hai etc sung by Jagjit Singh.
6. Raghuram Rajan
Raghuram Govind Rajan, an Indian economist and 23rd governor of Reserve Bank of India was born in Bhopal on 3rd February 1963. He even attended Champion School, Bhopal for half term.

7. Najma Heptulla
Indian politician, Najma Heptulla, former vice-president of BJP was born in Bhopal on 13 April 1940. She did her schooling from Motilal Vigyan Mahavidyalaya (MVM), Bhopal. She was Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha for sixteen years and currently is serving as the governor of Manipur and the Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia University.
