College, the first thing that comes to mind with this word is fun, fun and fun! But fun is a far away thing if you have your college in Bhopal. It’s the time in your life when you want to go out, meet new people but all you are doing is struggling with assignments. College implies dressing up, bunking classes, enjoying weekends, but hold on, dressing up? When you have a uniform in college and weekends are not weekends because Saturday is a working day and all you can say is college sucks. Here are few rules in Bhopal colleges that students find weird.
UNIFORM:-
Most of the colleges in Bhopal have a uniform. College is supposed to be a college, not school. With strict dress codes for students, the desires of putting up your favorite outfits in college can’t be fulfilled.
SESSIONALS ARE PROPORTIONAL TO ATTENDANCE:-
Yes, attendance is the key to all your happiness in college. If you want good sessionals you need to attend all your classes even if the date is the only thing written on the board that you can understand.
TWO to THREE MIDSEMS IN ONE SEMESTER:-
It’s ironical how mid-semester is not mid anymore. Mid means middle and only once.We got two middles in one semester. Funny, isn’t it?
NO HOLIDAY ON SATURDAY:-
It is supposed to be a weekend and Saturdays are meant to be off. In most of the colleges of Bhopal, Saturday is a working day.
DIFFERENT DEADLINES FOR BOYS AND GIRLS IN COLLEGE HOSTELS:–
Even after living in the 21st century when feminism is finally getting enough attention, we live in a society where we can’t practice it because our hands are tied up in a system where dissent isn’t appreciated and college aren’t spaces for questioning the obvious.
