Reaching high in the skyline of Bhopal, Taj-ul Masajid, an abode of Allah, is a splendid example of architecture and a place for spirituality. The literal meaning of its name is “The crown of all mosques “ and its magnificent structure truly justifies its name.Taj-ul-Masajid was built on the extensive campus of Bhopal between 1868 to 1901 and is one of the largest mosques in the whole continent. The total area of the Mosque is 90,000 square meters that can accommodate about 1,75,000 worshippers at a time. The whole structure is made up of red stone and is situated by the lake known as the “The Motia Talab “, which adds an extra essence of beauty to its design.
